I smell the foul stench of Microsoft fanboy FUD all over this article.
I knew that not long after Dell made their announcement about "legal"
DVD playback in Ubuntu on their PCs that some Linux-Hating buttmunch was
going to start up this crap. Did take them long did it?! The company
behind Ubuntu has been working with Dell on this project and I haven't
heard them objecting to using Corel's LinDVD in Ubuntu at all nor any
"legal, royalty paid" codecs for MP3s either. The additions of these
things is a good thing for Ubuntu and when properly licensed there
should be no controversy at all.
