When I first started using Ubuntu, I hated the brown look of gnome. I
actually stopped using it, and went back to windows for awhile. But, I
eventually came back and liked it better every time I tried it. Ironically,
I've even sort of gotten used to the brown look. The Elephant background
really isn't that bad. I wonder how black and orange will look though.


Hey, isn't there a way to edit the boot splash image and colors manually?
I've noticed than since Feisty the colors (when you change grub not to be a
silent boot) have gone from blue to now orange in Gutsy. I would most like
to change the color of the status bar when booting up though.
