[CoLoCo] Gutsy Nvidia drivers

I've got an HP laptop with an 8600GS and the beta dumped to the
bulletproof X screen at the first startup. No biggie, (and a much
better situation than dumping to the console.) After two minutes I
had it working with the nvidia (closed) drivers. The hardest part
was getting my screen resolution selection to *stick* between
reboots, but that seems to have been cleared up by an update in the
last three days.
I don't have Compiz Fusion running though, it worked for the first
two days and another update killed it. Now as soon as I enable any
of the desktop effects it crashes the window manager. But again, X
handles it much better than it did in feisty, it doesn't even dump to
console, just wait about 30 seconds and it will restart your previous
window manager. At least if it does crash it recovers smoothly!
