Unfortunately, it's running off the linksys router.
I have a spare box that's just sitting here, not running, that has (I
think) smoothwall set up on it.
I may just have to resurrect that back for this sort of thing and drop
the DHCP task from the linksys.
As long as I'm considering that let me ask another question.
My printer works fine, but it's only working as long as my laptop (my
main box) is attached to the docking port. Could the reconfigured box
for "network admin" also be the print server or does that open up too
many holes.
Keep in mind that I'm a developer, write a lot of code, but never done
much/any network admining, so setting something like this up would be
a stretch for me. Not a stretch I'm unwilling to take, mind you, but
I'm much more back to the novice state when talking about this stuff
even though I've been doing computer stuff since the 70s. :)
