Okay, turned off all but those 4 and no change. Still 50 seconds to<br>
load the desktop (and only 40 to boot the computer). By way of<br>
comparison, my laptop running the same 64bit version of gutsy takes<br>
about 25 seconds to load the desktop. Better but still not what feisty<br>
was. It could be somewhat related to the computer. My desktop had some<br>
issues even with feisty that turned out to be related to about 20GB of<br>
music I deleted that ended up in a different trash directory but was<br>
for some reason slowing down the loading of the desktop (i.e. finding<br>
and finally removing them helped). I don&#39;t see that issue now though.<br>
This is annoying.<br>
