I'm not religious about this, but ... If you're not going to move the bottom-post to the top, then bottom-post. Similary, if you're not going to move the top-post to the bottom, then top-post, but ~please~ let the direction of the conversation ~not~ be middle, bottom, top, or some such nonsense.
