[CoLoCo] (Fwd) Hardy Release Campaign

I believe this is too large of a project to organize with our current
membership 'standings'.

I don't want to 'head-off' this idea but I feel semi-responsible for letting
you know this is too ball-park and too big for us to handle.

We should focus our time and energy on successful events and in the future
when we have a more 'committed' (when people actually put forth time and
effort and show up) following we can plan fun/big events like this.

My 2 cents:

a) Lets focus on the TIE event as it was a big hit last year.
b) Lets also keep in mind our own release party; which by tradition has also
been a great success.

Lets start with two items that seem most critical in my opinion:

  - Start looking this week for several locations where we can set up
our circus tents

  - Lets see how quickly we can get enough disks to support a large
public showing like this.

The way I see the biggest issues are: where and when. And I think when
depends on when we can get real (silver) disks to hand to the general
public. Once the when is established, then we can fix that date, and
sort through the possible wheres to establish the final locations.

I have a few ideas for locations in the Denver area. I could also throw
a small amount of cash to getting something down here set up, via
Fighting Penguin. Once the date is set, there are many Linux centric
businesses here in Denver where we can ask for sponsorship... but that
can not happen until we fix the date and time.

After that is set, we can move forward with the public awareness stuff
like posters, press, etc.
