Um....
Perhaps I missed it, but are you joking? Hearty IS still in BETA, which
means it's not ready for prime time, as it were.
The purpose of Beta is for more people to test it, on more systems and for
those testers to provide the bug reports as you did.
Sorry if I'm off base, but it really shouldn't be used on any kind of
production system.
ON that note, my downloads of both Ubuntu and Kubuntu 8.4 was running when I
left for work. This next week, I'll be checking it out...
