Another quick thing I recall,
Don't a lot of the dell/hp machines have broadcomm wifi cards? I think the
biggest thing to do is avoid anything with the broadcomm card like its the
plague. The Intel cards seem to have about the best support out of any card
out there, so when looking around watch for that.
