Greetings all,

We are closing in on the date for the Technology in Education conference in
Copper Mountain (June 24-27). Since we are hoping for a bit of support from
CoLoCo we need to get a plan of action in place. I am planning a meeting for
all interested to attend and get some more information on what we will be
doing, what help we need and how you can volunteer. I'm not sure the best
day or time for a meeting but I'm proposing the following. Let me know if
you would like to attend but cannot because of the time or location. We can
explore options. We will meet at the Panera in Longmont as it's most central
to most people as far as I can tell.

Wed, May 28 at 6:00 pm (Panera in Longmont) OR
Thurs, May 29 at 6:00 pm (Panera in Longmont)

Let me know if one or the other is better. I will try to accomodate as many
people as possible. I will finalize the date as soon as hear back from
people.

The main idea is to discuss the ways in which to help, finalize the content
of the sessions (particularly the lessons we will present for each software
application) and give people a chance to arrange car pools if they wish. The
main areas to help are manning an Ubuntu table, helping advertise the two
sessions by setting up a couple demo boxes out front, and helping during the
two sessions to answer questions and such. Last year we had 4 or 5 people in
and around during the session. I think that was a good number and I hope we
can get similar turn out this year. Please check the planning wiki for more
info and the schedule for the table and sessions.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TIEColorado08

The table is instead of a booth this year. They will be mentioning us in the
program and listing times that we will be available. They are expecting that
we will be there is we say we will. That schedule is

Tuesday (24) - 12:30 - 4:00-ish
Wed and Thurs (25-26) - 8:30 - 5:00
Friday (27) - 8:30 - 10:00

NOTE: That is somewhat changed from the original schedule I proposed. If you
signed up already (mainly Bryan and myself - Connie was not affected) you
were adjusted. If possible, I'd like to have at least two people at the
table during each 2 hour shift as it will make it easier to help more people
and I doubt anyone wants to sit there alone.

During the sessions (Wed and Thurs 8:00-11:30am) we would also like to have
several volunteers on hand to help assist people with questions/problems.
Please add your name to the wiki if you can plan on helping. We also need
people to help set up the night before each session. This involves
installing software for session one and setting up the "servers" for session
2.

If you have questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks. CoLoCo Rocks!!
