[CoLoCo] SDL on Kubuntu

I have a application from the repos that uses SDL but I don't get any 
sound.  The following SDL pages are installed according to Adept Package 
Manager, what other packages do I need to install to make this work?  
I've had issues with SDL games like Abuse in the past also on Ubuntu 
where the sound would not work.

Installed libsdl packages in Kubuntu 8.04LTS
