No problem, on a slightly related note if anyone is interested you can also
set up Ubuntu to use GMail as your preferred mail application by following
the instructions here:

Mainly you point Ubuntu to a custom script as your preferred email client
using System... Preferences... Preferred Applications.
The script is a one-liner, that I modified to point to my Google apps for my
domain:
firefox -remote "openurl(
https://mail.google.com/a/thelloyds.net/?ui=2&view=cm&tf=0&to=`echo $1 | sed
-r "s/mailto:\/*//"`,new-tab)"
