Our school district did a global deployment of Lucid in both a dual boot and Ubuntu only boot on almost every computer with have. We now have a pretty good sized problem for our limited knowledge.

We have a couple hundred computers with a Intel Brookdale video card that seem to get a black screen and the system is frozen and I am not able to ssh in. I can not even get a return on ping. The resolve we have to power off and back on.

In our research we found this article https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Bugs/Lucidi8xxFreezes. We have tried workarounds A, and E. If we use workaround B, the computer freezes on startup. It appears to be when it loads the xorg.conf file.

Here copy of my lspci
