[CoLoCo] Linux netbook

Greeting all,
After seeing all the netbooks at the ISTE conference, I've been thinking of
getting one of the newer Asus eee but seems they stopped selling a Linux
model. Is that the case? I would consider a windows model only if Asus is
honoring the EULA and giving refunds. I know more and more people are having
luck with this but don't about Asus. If Asus is no longer Linux friendly,
what is one of the better models out there? I like the eee because it's one
of the few plastic netbooks that feels solid. I have a 901 that is nice but
the keyboard is way too small. I also heard they may be releasing an
aluminum one soon which might be cool. I know everyone has their preferences
but is there a clear winner or two out there? The eee and the aspire (Acer)
seem to have been the better ones in the past with respect to build quality
and battery life. I really liked the early HP mini design with the metal
case but battery life was really bad and it ran quite hot. Not sure what
they are offering now. Anyway, any suggestions?
Thanks.
