I did an update, found that I didn't like Unity at all and *attempted* 
to change back to gnome.

Now I don't have either. No way to bring up a window of any kind. I 
guess that when I turned off Unity there was supposed to be another step 
that I missed.

Anyone have any idea how to turn the Gnome desktop back on by editing a 
config file?
