Hey Everyone...
So I was about to purchase a RAM upgrade for my new laptop, when I thought I
would double check on the speed that I had. I was 99% sure it came with
DDR3 8500 (1066 Mhz), but wanted to double check.
So I ran the following in the console:
sudo dmidecode --type 17
This was my output:
# dmidecode 2.9
SMBIOS 2.6 present.

So if I'm interpretting that correctly, I have two DIMM slots for memory,
one of them is full with 2GB - but it's running at 1333 Mhz?
*Speed: 1334 MHz (0.7 ns)*

Am I going crazy? I would just pull the DIMM out, but they have it tucked
underneath the keyboard so I was trying to avoid that. The other available
RAM slot was easily accessible (and obviously) empty.
Believe me - I'd be totally fine with Lenovo accidentally shipping me DDR3
10600 (1333 Mhz) - but I'm trying to pinch pennies on this upgrade and can't
have two different speed memory banks.
Thanks!
