As it turns out... I just asked if we had either an external USB DVD to
borrow, or an old internal DVD to rescue from impending landfill. It turns
out we have both. In fact, several of the later, still in computers being
thrown out. Dell Pentium 4's, which no one seems to know the state of
disrepair on. So... *IF* Kid Power wants them, and *IF* we can get
reasonably quick transportation for them (Phil, perhaps), we can get them
before Gallaudet throws them out. Otherwise, I'll cannibalize them now and
try to extract DVD readers from them.

Given that we could not boot from the USB stick, I suspect we would have
similar problems with the DVD: On the one machine I was working on, the
BIOS does not appear to recognize the possibility of booting from a USB
device -- though it did list the ability to boot from drives A, C, D, E or
F, as well as "SCSI" and "CDROM". I'm not certain what it believes all
those drives to be.
