[DC LoCo] Power management profile application?

Thanks all. It was CPU frequency scaling monitor. But that doesn't exactly directly translate into battery power consumption, does it? 
So I will be looking into grano.la as well, but even that seems to be more about managing the power used when plugged in (although, I've just taken a cursory look). So my search to extend battery life continues, although, since I've switched to a 12 cell new battery that gives me approx 4 hours, I have to admit the need isn't as pressing.
