[DC LoCo] Older Laptop Screen Size Problem...

Hi -

I am fan of UBUNTU and have been using it with great results on a 
desktop machine for several years. More recently, I installed it on an 
older (rescued from the garbage can) laptop that my wife uses for her 
modest needs. It's a _Dell Inspiron 2500_ with an 800x600 display. The 
relatively small display is the nub of my problem.

Some windows, such as the one invoked by most applications for printing, 
are _not re-sizable_. As a result, the buttons at the bottom of the 
window are off the bottom of the visible desktop. I find that the _print 
window_ cannot be moved to give access to the 'print' or 'cancel' 
buttons, which are at the very bottom. Since 'print' is the default 
option, the problem can be circumvented by simply pressing the 'enter' 
key after the print window comes up. But, this only works if no other 
changes on the print-window are required and is therefore a poor solution.

Does anyone know how to resize the print window? or make changes in 
system settings to make it re-sizable? or move it (above the top of the 
desktop) to allow access the the 'print' and 'cancel' buttons?
