IBM is shelving their open source Symphony office suit, which is a
fork of OpenOffice. Instead, all that development work will be focused
on assisting the Apache Foundation with OpenOffice. IBM has already
been donating Symphony code to the Apache Foundation.

Its always sad to see an open source project come to an end. I learned
how to use spreadsheets with Lotus 1-2-3 back in the day, and sold
copies of Lotus SmartSuite for OS/2 in the 90's.
