[DC LoCo] CoderDojoDC needs Ubuntu tech support! ;)

Hey folks,

I am scrambling to prep seven Ubuntu 12.04 laptops to run
https://minecraft.net/download in time for our meeting Saturday:
http://CoderDojoDC.com/next - I bring these laptops for kids to use who are
unable to bring their own.

if anyone can write up the steps to get minecraft.jar running on Ubuntu
12.04, I'm not real technical and keep running into advice not to use
openJDK and to use Oracle instead, but then apt-get install
oracle-java7-installer can't be found, etc.

Incidentally, over time I think CoderDojoDC and working with kids (and
their parents) in general could potentially be a huge venue for promoting
Ubuntu, FLOSS and Open Source values in general, so Kevin, Brian or anyone
else - you guys are always welcome to come out to talk (or provide
technical support :).

We could probably even set up a "tech-support-google-hangout" in the corner
of the room, where kids can go to meet with any one of you who can be
online Saturday mornings, but can't quite make the long haul all the way
out to Silver Spring...

Anyway Im just swamped with the logistics of this club (room, wifi,
registration, cabling, tables, etc., etc.) so if anyone would like to get
involved, simple tech support would be a massive help!

Thanks!

-Jason

P.S. we're also always looking for teachers on anything nerdy:
snap-circuits, how to read a binary clock, Python programming, Rasberry
Pi's, whatever. We'll also gladly take any not-terribly-old laptops to
make available to kids unable to bring their own:
