Hey guys. As you may or may not know, since we neglected to email this list
about the October meeting, our turnout was surprisingly small. That said,
we're planning on having our normal IRC meeting on Thursday, November 5th at
9pm and our next face-to-face (F2F) meeting at the Eagle Creek Library from
2:30pm - 4:30pm on November 21st (3rd Saturday of November). I know it might
be difficult for people to make it due to Thanksgiving, but it's probably
easier to do it then than the following week.

Our planned topics for the IRC meeting include:

   - Planning for the November F2F meeting (making sure presenters are ready
   and providing help if needed)
   - Discussion of topics for future meetings

Our tentative plan of topics for the November 21st F2F meeting include:

   - Text Editors: vim (Rob/crosscut) and emacs (Bill/wdieter). If anyone's
interested, I can talk briefly about nano as well, but vim/emacs are more
   widely misunderstood
   - Release Party (Ubuntu 9.10): As you know, Ubuntu is releasing a new
version tomorrow (October 29th), and we should receive our box of 300 CDs
before Nov. 21st (hopefully). We'll give a brief talk on the new features
and try to field some questions if anyone needs assistance.
   - Time willing, we might also do a brief resume workshop, so bring in
your resume (electronic or paper, we don't care) and we'll check it out to
   see how "hireable" you are.

That's all for now, bgluggers. If you have any questions, want to help out,
or just want to talk about Linux, catch up with us on irc.freenode.net in
#bglug, go to http://www.bglug.net, or email me back directly and I'll do
what I can. Later!
