So, i guess i don't understand what this is...
I assume i'm going to walk into this "event" and it's going to be set up
like a game show, People are going to be asked questions and the first one
with the answer wins...kinda thing, and there will be door prizes and food.
However, I realize, that nobody thinks the way that i think, so i'm still
lost, I am going to assume secondly, that a packaging jam, doesn't involve
jelly (jam) and toast. Maybe it's a nice way of saying "Mailing party"
Where everyone gets together and folds, addresses, labels, stamps and stuffs
envelops, but if that was the case it would be called a stuffing party.
I know a paper jam is when you get paper stuck in the printer or coppier and
usually sends someone swearing at the said device.
I read the wiki article about what a packaging jam is, but it didn't tell me
what i needed to know...
I read this part "There are several reasons you might want to learn how to
package for Ubuntu. First, building and fixing *Ubuntu* packages is a great
way to contribute to the *Ubuntu* community. It is also a good way to learn
how *Ubuntu* and the applications you have installed work. Maybe you want to
install a package that is not in the *Ubuntu* repositories. Hopefully after
you have completed this guide you will have the tools and knowledge you need
to do all of these things."
install a package? What is a package? I thought that's something you get in
the mail, in a box? I didn't know you could put objects into a
computer...besides with a scanner, are their 3d scanners? Am i missing
something? Is there a definition i am missing?
*(I'd ask lefty, but i got him sick, and he's asleeping, and i'm confused)
