I've installed Feisty -- now need to get Comcast HSI up & running........

I was about to suggest the same as Steve. I have comcast as well.
The modem does somehow bind to a particular mac address. When I
switch to my laptop, I need to unplug the power to the modem for a
minute or two before connecting the ethernet wire.
