Can't view internet videos

I am having good luck with gutsy gibbon save one thing.  I can't get 
most internet videos (like Yahoo, Comcast, etc.) to play because my 
macromedia flash plugin for firefox doesn't appear to be working.  I've 
tried to download the plugin but haven't found one that works.  Let me 
know if anyone has any suggestions regarding how I can get the needed 
plugin or software.    Thank you.
