Ubuntu on MacBook Air (early- / mid-2014)

I am not a Mac person, but I have tried to install OSX on intel platform,
so know the hardship of installs.

1. Sound card needs to be compatible.
2. Wifi drivers need to be available.

Other than these 2 issues, the install should work just fine. Intel HD 6000
video card is supported under linux, so display will not be an issue.

Look at the full spec sheet of the Macbook Air you are planning to buy and
research in the forums to see if those hardware will be recognised.

Let us know how you fare on your trial. I am looking into installing linux
on my old tablet, but have not been successful.
