Ron,
Looking forward to the meeting and especially to the release of ubuntu
16.04. I want to upgrade my desktop to install ubuntu install ubuntu
16.04 on my new chromebook. I know there are 2 ways to do it. I can use
crouton or chrubuntu. I think the difference is that crouton uses the
linix kernel of chrome to run ubuntu and chrubuntu is dual boot. I have
installed a 64G micro SD card in the expansion slot and have a retired
500G external HD. I'm leaning toward chrubuntu because of the limited
internal memory of my chromeboook, I'm not sure whether the chromebook
can run either full ubuntu 16.04, or even 14.04 under crouton. So far I
managed only to get my chromebook into developer mode, then promptly
wiped out all google information and had to reenter it. Installing
ubuntu on chromebooks would be a good topic. I'm too busy right now to
present a talk, but would like to do one on how to load wine and use it
to install and run windows 7 or earlier under ubuntu when tie permits.
