Thanks Brian,
I did (eventually) find and reset my preferences so I now get the
View with/Download choices which I prefer. It does not give me the
choice of built-in viewer. (IMHO, it should)
Thanks for the more info link - I have not yet read it much tho. I
did browse the "Using the built-in PDF Viewer" piece enough to find
TWO download options. When I first used it, I missed both ways to
download a pdf via the built-in.
I now realize that the main problem was that I did not recognize the
icons at the top and did not hover over all of them long enough to get
the drop down explanations. On my system the icons appear gray on
black with low contrast (could this be a result of / changed by some
config item - I think I have the defaults. My 65 year old eyes may be
a factor too but I dont usually feel I have a vision problem.
Two download options:
There is an icon (of page with blocky arrow pointing down)
that gives the View with/Download choices
One can also download the pdf - sort of via - the Printer icon
(which looks like the front of a car to me).
An option (default?) of the print (icon in upper right
It seems to regenerate the pdf with the addition of the file name,
url and date/time in 3 corners of the small test pdf I tried.
The default file name in this case is mozilla.pdf
The original pdf was 44KB, the regenerated pdf was 743kb
Looks like there are a few issues to resolve that could be improved
a bit.
It still seems like a hassle to figure out where/how to get these
comments to the developer so I probably wont pass them on :(
