Hi all,
We recently received a query to the website from an NYC resident that is
looking for a volunteer to help him do a multiboot setup. He seems to be
averse to anything but face to face help so if anyone is interested
please post to the list for details. Here's some info from the email.

let me explain my circumstances.
i have vista-32 on c:\250GB, running on 64-bit Wintel. i want tyo
install 1 or 2 flavors (ubuntu is one) of linux on d:\ 500GB, and a unix
on the d:\. i need someone who is fluid in linux/open-source culture and
competent technologically -- i do not want another walter mitty in my
life! -- to hold my hand in new york city.
as i'm sure you know, the yellow-brick road is fraught with all kinds of
meanies (a recently installed paid software from a reputable company
(acronis.com) so thoroughly discombobulated my vista's master boot
record that i could not boot for three weeks.) i ask many technical
(annoying, newbie) questions (but i do learn fast) -- and the forums are
not the answer because the denizens are either walter mitty's or the
time for the give-and-take is frustrating enough to capitulate.
thus, a vis-a-vis is sine qua non, and the other options that you
proffered are worthless - i speak from experience.
i need someone to walk with; so, i ask you to find for me 1 or 2 people
who meet the description. if you cannot then i will not contact you
further about this matter.
thanks.
