No, is a more correct answer for the non-techie; It isn't all that simple.

Note that the Local LUGOR group at their installfest, will not handle 
partitioning; and they are Linux Pro's.

  Also note on their website, that Ubuntu is not amongst the referenced 
links, even though some of the guys mention it occasionally.
   Also note that it takes some knowledge to get the cd disk to boot, 
both as a bootup disk, or from windows.
I agree with the answers you give, but it really isn't as simple as it 
sounds.  Will Herzog.
