Dear Mr. Stalcup,
I am trying to upgrade my computer's hardware and software. I have searched the internet for programs that will allow me to run Ubuntu on a pentium II while still allowing me to have access to my existing files on the following programs:
* Microsoft Office 97
* TurboCad 6.5 (3D Cad software)
* QuickBooks Pro 99 (small business accounting)
* WebEasy 5 (web publishing)
* PrintShop 6
How could I go about making the switch? I'm willing to upgrade to newer versions of these softwares, but prefer to use Ubuntu or it's programs to read my existing files much like MS Word allows you to format other text editors to it's style. It is imparitive that I can get at these old files even if I start making all new files on new programs. Are there similar programs to these available for Ubuntu? Please educate me!
Sincerely,
Eric Ubelhor
