I thought I might point this out that looking at the wiki page on
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFIBooting, just using GUIs to just
install GRUB doesn't seem to do the trick, as you need to compile it
with special flags, and this is best done on a Linux machine, such as
Kubuntu ;)
just thought I'd point that out.
