Gutsy release parties

Hi, Rodd:
Here's a link to the wiki page describing release parties. It provides a
good overview and howto:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BuildingCommunity/RunningReleaseParty
There's also a page specifically about the Gutsy release parties:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/GutsyReleaseParties
I'm not planning a formal agenda for the Vermillion party. It will be more
of a social event with the local LUG, though we'll probably be burning and
handing out CDs as well.
As far as free conference swag is concerned you could order some free Ubuntu
CDs and stickers via their shipit program (https://shipit.ubuntu.com/).
I've heard some rumblings about more swag being available to the LoCos in
time for the Gutsy release, which is the day after your conference, but I
don't know if that will include us or not as we are not "official" yet.
I'll keep you posted.
I've not heard of the Black Hills Tech Expo before -- it's great to have
something like that in state -- and it would be nice to have some LoCo
members there. I'm very interested in hearing how the Open Source workshop
goes. If there are pics or slides available, could you post them to the
forum?
While on the subject of conferences, I just got an email about this year's
"TechKnowlogy" Summit in Sioux Falls on the 13 of November. I went to the
first one a few years ago, and it was fairly interesting. I know we have a
few members in SIoux Falls, and I'd be wiling to drive up with some of the
Vermillionites as well. Anyone interested?
