Ah, so that's yet another reason to dump it then. Sir Synpatic, could
you please remove it from my system ! :o)

Ah, I got it working now, it failed to start when I first tried, because
I forgot to run it as root. But I did "sudo cfdisk /dev/hda", and it
works just fine now ! Nice clean crisp text UI like I love. Deal done.
Plus, I can just start it from 'recovery' mode on the console, more
reliable, does't rely on lots of graphical layers, which is important
for things as critical as partitioning your drives !!!

Thanks for telling me about cfdisk then... :o)
