How to get X11 on imac dv?

That happened to me during one of my installs on a slightly older
iMac. I never did track down the problem though - just rebooted with
the same install disc and tried again. The second time it worked just
fine.

You could check in /etc/X11 and see what's there. In my case, Gnome
and Xfree86 weren't installed at all.
