The reason it's not easier is because qmail isn't under an open
license so debian refuses to support it until he decides what he's
going to do with it.

I don't know if you care but knowing that he can decide to charge for
use of this email client any time he chooses freaks me out
considerably. The assumption is that if qmail gains any kind of
penetration in the market he'll start charging for it.
