restrict url access

Hello all, this is a generic linux question not necessarily pertaining
to ubuntu but I don't know where else to ask it.

I'm looking to have a workstation only have access to certain websites.
Does anyone know where I can configure this box so it only has access to
a few sites. Since this is only one box I don't want to set up a Squid
server, but I'm not sure how to do this in the local box.
