This is right. I don't know much about Linux but I do know some about
how it is to be a newbie and try to cope with a number of sources of
information, all in different format. For a newbie it's a struggle to
jump around in different sites that all have their own way of organizing
things (wiki, forum, FAQ, How-To, Manual,...). If the information is
spread around, these separete sources cover less than one central source
and the newbie is forced to travel from site to site looking for the
specific information he/she needs. In the case of a newbie, this
increases the time it takes to find the awnser manyfold.
