MS game Risk II - question from newbie

Wine is a nice project but you can't rely on it to run your apps 
properly, Wine is still in the so-called Alpha-stage, and your app may
run with a certain Wine-version and not with another Wine-version

WineX was based on Wine and meant for running games, WineX is now called
Cedega, it's made by TransGaming, and commercial software, see here :

Another thing to try is Qemu, if your machine is reasonably fast
(say, > 1 Ghz, and >= 512 Mb RAM) you might want to try this

Qemu is open-source software and free of charge

VMWare is another (not so cheap) option, see :

apart from all this you can of course try Wine as a last resort,
