I installed QT3.2 from repositories (sorry about the KDE libs...) and
then down loaded
Dynamic binary tar.bz2 from Skype site. I then extracted the latter,
created folder in /usr/share/skype and copied all of the files in
there. Now it is avail to all two users. No fiddling around with
settings or anything.
Check your volume settings (PCM?) and that mic is on and recording.
Mine was muted...
And yes, the latest version (0.93) seems to fix the problem with the
starter bar/small window.
