ubuntu problem

I would start by upgrading to the real warty release.  That way you
are running the same code as everyone else and it will be alot easier
to get help.

Assuming you have working network now you can do this with
Computer -> System configuration -> synaptics 
Then hit reload, mark all upgrades, apply.  Answer "smart upgrade" on
the last question and wait.

After the update is done you are running the released version of warty
instead of the preview.  You might then retry the network settings, if
you still have problems, reboot the box and try again.  If you still
have problems, come back here.
