Cool! I know from personal experience that RAM can be expensive for
these machines, but if you keep your eye out, you can find good deals
occasionally.

I can't comment on that one since I've only used OS X and Ubuntu on my
machine - but OS X is definitely the slower if the two in my case.
I've been meaning to install Yellowdog on my PowerMac 6100 though. At
66Mhz I'm sure that will feel significantly slower than Ubuntu. :-)
