Has anyone had any experience installing Ubuntu in such a system...?
Everything is working except the audio. I had previously installed
Debian using the Installer RC1 CD, and was able to setup the audio
using sndconfig. Ubuntu did not recognize the sound card, an ESS 1878,
set at IRQ=5, and IO at 0x0220, 0x0388 and 0x0300.
Any hints will be appreciated...!
I have installed Ubuntu on 3 other computers, with a variety of
components (two homemade and one Dell P4), and it has been the easiest
install ever, including Mandrake, RedHat, Libranet, Xandros and
Knoppix/Kanotix. Great job, dev team!
