Swapping Video cards..

I currently have a GForce FX5600 in my machine.. and My better half
has a FX5900 Ultra (I bought it for her to play doom3 on it).
She nearly never plays the damn game and the card it wasted in her
machine.. so while she's out of town I thought I'd swap it with mine
;-)

When I put it in my machine will Ubuntu detect the changes and re-tool
on its own, or will it prompt me to do that or will I have to force
it?
