No network connection, but I have the kernel driver source

Hello Ubuntu'ers!

I'm a newb to Ubuntu and Debian, but not linux. The network driver for my motherboard is not supported by the default kernel.

I do however, have the source code for the kernel module that supports my card. I have successfully used this kernel module in Gentoo in the past.

The issue I have now is that the Kernel Source is not installed by default off of the install CD. Since I don't have a net connection, I can't just download it.

....So, where I can download the appropriate Kernel Source? I figured I could patch the source, run make menuconfig, select my net driver, run make modules, and finally manually copy the *.ko file to /lib/modules/...../ . I guess I'd need to run modules update as well. Would this work?

Net, bottom line, is there a mirror where I could download the official Ubuntu Kernel Source package so I can install without a network conneciton..

Thanks!
John
