Wouter, thanks.

Well, here's the thing... the 3c59x module is being loaded already, and
right now I have a 3c905 and the new card, a 3c900 boomerang. And I've
just discovered that I can manually configure the card with ifconfig
eth1 <ip address, etc> but I'm confused because I thought the card
should "just show up" as long as its module was loaded (which it was as
far as I can tell). I thought that doing "ifconfig" with no options
should show the first configured card and then the second non-configured
card, but it didn't. But still I could manually configure it.

What is the normal debian behaviour when adding a second network card,
anyway? I guess that's part of my confusion.
