on 2003-03-13 someone showed how gnome fails to empty the trash:

a pretty basic task, often used.
yet almost 2 years later it is still not fixed.
could someone from canonical please fix this upstream or so ?

simple to fix, often requested, never done in 3 years ...
does gnome really not care about simple users ?
