I was able to use Synaptic Package Manager to download and install 
enlightenment. After installation, I type "enlightenment" at the prompt 
and it gives you the option of making it your default Window Manager. 
Log out and select "default" for your session and log in.

I'm sure there is an easier and proper way of doing it but that's what 
worked for me.
