Cut and past issue

Hm.. In the Windows version, GIMP has the option to "Copy to Windows Clipboard"

In its place on Warty is "Copy Visible."  I tried that anyway, and
tried to paste it in Inkscape, which flashed a "Nothing in the
Clipboard" message at the bottom.

I was also unable to cut and paste from Inkscape to OO.org.
