Does it connect via USB? I haven't specifically tried connecting a
music player, but all other USB media I've tried has mounted itself
automagically. If this doesn't work for you, can you tell us what the
device's filesystem is? (I would assume FAT)

Having said that, it looks like there's a decent open source community
surrounding the Neuros players. Their "open" page is here:

Also, a quick search for "linux support" in the forums provided a ton of hits. 

Hopefully that points you in the right direction. :-) Oh, and I'm
jealous. I want a Neuros. hehe.
